Expressionism
|
In the beginning of the 20th century, i. e. around 1905 and 1906, Expressionism was an emerging style within the fine arts, marked by the abandonment of the objective embodiment of the world for the sake of a subjective increase in expression by picture-art and language means.
Expressionism can be understood as a reaction to Naturalism and Impressionism.
